What our clients say
Singapore trademark questions
Why is the fee lower with pre-approved wording?
IPOS charges a lower fee per class when the goods or services come entirely from its pre-approved list and a higher fee when any custom wording is used. Government fees are billed at actual cost against the official receipt. Your attorney uses pre-approved wording wherever it accurately describes your business.
Can a foreign business register in Singapore?
Yes. You need a Singapore address for service, which your attorney provides.
Does a Singapore registration cover other ASEAN countries?
No. Each ASEAN country needs its own filing, or you can designate several of them through a Madrid international application.
Already registered in Singapore?
Official renewal fee: S$480 per class. When: Up to 6 months before expiry. If expired: 6 months after expiry at S$700 per class; restoration S$770 per class.
