Never miss a renewal date

Not due yet? We'll email you 6 months, 3 months and 1 month before it expires. Free, for any trademark, wherever it was registered.

Already due or expired?

Most offices allow a grace period of about 6 months after expiry, at a higher fee. After that, many registrations can't be renewed and you'd have to file again, and someone else could take the name first.

FAQ

Renewal questions

How long does a renewal last?

In most countries, including India, the US, the UK, the EU, the UAE, Singapore, Australia, Canada and Saudi Arabia, each renewal keeps the registration in force for another 10 years.

Can you renew a mark another firm or agent registered?

Yes. You sign a power of attorney appointing our attorney for the renewal. You don't need your old agent's permission.

My trademark has already expired. Is it too late?

Often not. Most offices allow a grace period of about 6 months after expiry with a surcharge, and some allow restoration after that. Tick “already expired” when you order and your attorney confirms what's possible before anything is filed.

Do I need to prove I still use the mark?

In the US, yes: renewal includes a declaration of use with a current photo or screenshot for each class, and goods no longer in use are deleted. Most other offices renew without proof of use, but an unused mark can still be challenged for non-use.

What if the owner's name or address has changed?

Tell us when you order. The register usually has to be updated first, and your attorney quotes that recordal separately before filing the renewal.

What does a renewal cost in all?

Our fixed fee plus the office's renewal fee, both shown before you pay. If the mark is in its grace period, the office's late surcharge is confirmed by your attorney before filing.
